| Job Description | Counselor Positions Phoenix Houses of New England is recruiting for a full-time Counselor to work at the Caledonia Work Camp in St. Johnsbury, VT, and a part time counselor to work in an outpatient setting in Newport, VT. The Work Camp Applicant must be willing to work in a correctional setting with men in a Therapeutic Community modality of treatment. Preference is someone with T.C. knowledge, as well as knowledge in counseling and substance abuse. Must be willing to facilitate groups and provide individual counseling with substance abusing men. The Newport applicant will work in the Newport Probation and Parole office conducting group therapy for up to 8 men two or three days a week. | |
| Qualifications | The Newport applicant must have at least an ASAC (apprentice substance abuse counselor certification) Both applicants must have some computer skills.
