Row design box with the video section of background showing where you can enter a link

Catch visitor’s attention, create a cool vibe, convey a complex message effectively, all with video backgrounds.

Now available on mobile, tablet and desktop sites.

To add a background video, open any row or column and enter the URL for the video you want to display.
  • On desktop, you can display Youtube, Vimeo and DailyMotion videos;
  • On mobile, only Vimeo and DailyMotion videos will display.

Great reasons to use video backgrounds:

  • Create a great vibe: If your client has a funky store, seasonal offer, or anything else that can be conveyed effectively with a video, use this instead of a hero image to create a big impact at first glance.
  • Simplify complex ideas: If your client has a relatively complicated process they want to convey, videos are a great solution. They can convey a process from start to finish much more effectively than simple text.
  • Show your product in action: Nothing is as effective as seeing a product in action. Create a high quality video that shows your client’s product being used and visitors will really see the value.
  • Food, food, food: Restaurants, bakeries, cooking classes and more are excellently conveyed with videos that show fresh food being prepared or served.

Tips for creating great background videos

  • Use only high quality videos.
  • Adjust their position in the container so they look perfect on all devices.
  • You can also add text on the video. If you do, make sure to add an opacity overlay color (black, 40%) so the text is visible.
