Typography Tips

Although web trends are evolving, leading to what fonts people are using changing there are always some best practice techniques that stay relevant.

  • Use two (three at max) different font per website: Setting global text for headers and paragraphs is the best way to create an attractive website. Too many different fonts can be distracting, consistency throughout a website ties each of the pages together.
  • Readability: Make sure when you choose a font, it can be easily read. If the font is too similar to the background, too small, or unclear it will lead to frustrated visitors. So make sure that the font is clear, large enough to be easily read, and contrast the background.
  • Serif fonts are perceived as more serious, while san serif is perceived as more casual: Serif fonts have little feet on them (ex Serif font) while, sans serif does not have them and look more contemporary.

Keeping these tips in mind while uploading and picking fonts for your site. With this large access to new fonts you can create a wonderful website, that is uniquely your brand.
