How to Choose a Professional Email Address

As we grow up, often our tastes changes, our hobbies differ, and our maturity levels increase. As a teen or young adult we don't always look toward the future when it comes to things like choosing an email. We might find ourselves years down the road wondering why we ever chose an email such as "baller4life@aim.com" and then find ourselves cringing while writing it on a resume or other professional document.

Don't find yourself becoming embarrassed just to share an email address. Take the time to come up with a professional email address that will make a good impression and won't be a red flag to a hiring manager.

Picking an email address can sometimes be a harder task than imagined due to the high number of email addresses being created each year. You might be inclined to use your first and last name, but more than likely there is someone else that has the same name as you and has already used it for their email address before you had the chance.

Thankfully, your first and last name is not the only email address you have to use in order to come across professional. There are several combinations you can choose from that do not limit you to using a silly phrase or your high school nickname.

Below we have some examples on how you can use your first and last name by exercising the different possible combinations.
